URS supports NASA’s space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research mission by performing a wide range of management, operations, maintenance and engineering at NASA field installations. At the Kennedy Space Center, in Cape Canaveral, Florida, we manage and maintain a variety of systems, equipment and utilities and are responsible for more than 250 facilities. URS personnel also are responsible for the operation and maintenance of highly complex air filtration systems to support the International Space Station, as well as critical systems associated with laboratories and clean rooms, at the George C. Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. In addition, URS provides chemical laboratory services, environmental management, telecommunications and a wide range of other services at Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia.
For the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency, URS manages the warehousing, packaging and distribution of equipment and supplies at military depots and distribution centers around the United States. We also are part of teams that manage nuclear research, bioscience and biotechnology, and other scientific programs at many of the U.S. Department of Energy’s laboratories, including Idaho, Los Alamos in Texas, Lawrence Livermore in California, and the National Energy Technology Laboratory sites in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Oregon and Alaska. In addition, we are part of the team providing management services at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, which specializes in high-energy particle physics, and we provide a range of scientific support services for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
