URS provides complete administrative, management, operations and logistics support for the Marshall Space Flight Center. NASA missions supported by URS include the International Space Station, Space Shuttle and advanced propulsion technologies, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, optics technology, and continuing solar system research and exploration. Our operations support involves the maintenance and repair of 241 buildings and structures, totaling 4.6 million square feet, from large test stands to major office complexes, warehouses and wind tunnels.
URS also provides logistics services, including the management of more than 75,000 items of equipment, more than 530,000 square feet of warehousing and outside storage, plus the transportation and special handling of mission-critical property. Our responsive solutions to space center challenges include leadership during recovery from major storms and the relocation of the Saturn V rocket.
