A comprehensive repair and maintenance capability is central to unmanned systems support. URS provides nose-to-tail operations and maintenance services for the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper armed, Remotely Piloted Vehicles (RPV)—also referred to as Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
The team of prime contractor General Atomics and URS provides depot-level maintenance support for half of all MQ-1 Predators and both flightline and depot-level support for all MQ-9 Reapers. Both RPVs significantly support the Warfighter’s efforts, providing reliable real-time intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and precision attack assets. URS personnel — avionics technicians, Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanics, munitions technicians, Air Ground Equipment (AGE) mechanics, and scheduling, supply and management staff — support 12 RPA/UAS launch and command sites worldwide. URS continually expands its capabilities to provide high-level operational and development support to Unmanned Aircraft Systems as thy grow in their critical role toward mission success for the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.
