URS designed, fabricated and maintains a 26-foot-long, 3,500-pound autonomous underwater vehicle deployed as a low-cost remote sensor to aid the U.S. Navy’s training efforts at the Pacific Missile Test Range near Hawaii. The vehicle’s mobile mast provides remote sensing—visibility when raised and acoustics when lowered.
